Construction engineering in the field of foundations and underground structures
N. M. Gersevanov Research, Planning and Surveying, Technological Institute of Bases and Underground Structures (NIIOSP) as a part of the Research Center of Construction provides engineering services in underground contruction.
NIIOSP named after N. M. Gersevanov deals with the whole set of geotechnical issues, including surveying, research and development, design and construction of foundations and substructures for buildings of various purposes, including in complicated soil and natural and climatic conditions. NIIOSP was established in 1931 as the All-Soviet Union Institute of Complex Bases and Foundations (VIOS); in 1958, the Institute was approved as the head institute in construction industry in the area of foundation construction and underground construction, and it is still.
